FIREPROOF LIVE FROM THE VICTORY GRILL IN AUSTIN TEXAS

I recently did a show at The Historic Victory Grill here in Austin Texas. I always get a nostalgic feeling when i perform there and I sorta feel like im channeling some of the greats that rocked there before me. The venue has been open since 1945 and still stands in that original place to this day. The Grill was a valued stop on the famed "Chitllin Circuit" that made stars out of so many R&B, Soul and Blues and Jazz musicians such as James Brown, Ike & Tina Turner, BB King, Muddy Waters, Ray Charles, Etta James and Count Bassie to name a small few.

The event I was playing was part of the monthly Untapped Live show which is a function of the Untapped Radio Show that airs here in Austin Texas on KAZI 88.7 fm. Though I've done a few of these showcases, this one was very special for me because it was one that featured some of the first cats to ever put it down in this city. Some names include OG Fatal, Dj Crash & Dirty Wormz, Da Fellas, Nook, and more. Some would put me in that category, Im often called the "Big Homie" despite the fact that I have dropped 40lbs in the last 2 years. This was a truly humbling experience for myself so you know I had to bring my A-game and show my big homies that the torch that they passed is in good hands.

MIRAGE512 ANNOUNCES UPCOMING PROJECTS FOR FALL 2012

I have a lot of material that I am ready to release to the public, im always recording new material when the feeling comes to me and im finally ready to get some of this good music out to the world. First up we have the "SoulHop Era Vol. 1" mixtape that will be coming in November 2012. it will be mixed by Dj Cropdiggie and will feature guest appearances by some the best emcees around including: Young Nick, Primo, OG Fatal, Gift of East35, Tray God, Poise, Kasino, Austin Fuze and more. The mixtape will feature production by Mirage512, Trill Gates and more. This mixtape is the prelude to his upcoming album"Art & Commerce" that Mirage512 will be releasing in January 2013 via Melodicscience Media Group/So South Digital Distribution.
